WELCOME
The Wilderness Therapy Symposium is for those interested in the fields of:
Adventure Therapy
Clinical Psychology
Ecopsychology
Wilderness Guiding
Participants share a love of the wilderness and a desire to work with the psyche and spirit. Clinicians, wilderness guides, field instructors, program personnel, consultants, students, and university faculty come together to share specific skills through hands-on, experiential workshops. The Symposium also attracts personnel from boarding schools and treatment centers that commonly work with wilderness programs.
You will find a wealth of new information at the symposium and a fun, collaborative atmosphere. The name of this event was carefully chosen. It is a symposium rather than a conference because this is a gathering where like-minded people learn from each other.
The Symposium is held at the Millennium Harvest House in the heart of Boulder Colorado. This beautiful hotel and conference center has indoor and outdoor workshop spaces, will allow us to meet and sleep in one place, and provides a more centralized area to network and relax.
We look forward to seeing you in Boulder!
